Vendor Agreement

1. Commission & Fees
Rentgiri charges a platform commission on all successful transactions. The commission rate is [XX]% for rentals and [XX]% for sales, deducted automatically from the total payout before funds are transferred to the vendor.
2. Refunds & Vendor Liability
Vendors are responsible for ensuring items match their descriptions. If a customer receives a defective or misrepresented item, the vendor is liable, and the platform reserves the right to authorize a full refund to the customer without vendor consent.
3. Rental Liabilities
While Rentgiri holds a security deposit and mediates disputes, vendors acknowledge that renting out items inherently carries a risk of damage. Rentgiri is not directly liable for equipment damaged or stolen by a customer, though we will aggressively pursue the customer for compensation via their deposit and legal means.
4. Dispute Handling
In the event of a dispute (e.g., regarding damage claims or item condition), Rentgiri acts as the final arbitrator. Vendors must submit compelling photographic evidence within [XX] hours of the item being returned to claim damages.
5. Product Ownership
Vendors retain full legal ownership of their products until a direct sale is finalized. However, when an item is booked for a rental, the vendor is legally obligated to fulfill that block and cannot lease or sell the item to another party during that timeframe.
6. Delivery Responsibility
Unless utilizing platform-managed logistics, the vendor assumes full responsibility for the safe, timely delivery of the item. Lost or damaged packages during vendor-managed transit are the vendor's liability.
7. Taxes & Compliance
Vendors operate as independent entities. The vendor is solely responsible for collecting, reporting, and remitting any applicable GST, sales tax, or income tax resulting from transactions on the Rentgiri platform.
